The village Stará Oleška is in picturesque landscape on border line of three regions - the Elbe sandstones, Central Bohemian Uplands (České Středohoří) and the Lusatian Mountains. You will be fascinated by the landscape and by the picturesque nature. You can visit many unique places – historical sights, architectonic interests or leisure centres. Near cultural centre is in Děčín (50.000 inhabitants). You can visit ZOO, aquapark, theatre, cinema, museum and newly reconstructed castle. During the tourist season are held many cultural actions in surrounding villages. Mobile guests of the Rosalka guesthouse can also visit Saxony and its unique places.
The guesthouse Rosalka is nearby the National park – Bohemian Switzerland. Thank the local articulation we can recommend this area for biking lovers. It offers many touristic trails leading through the scenery of the rocky towns, the passes, deep gorges and hillsides. The world-famous natural unique is the most beautiful nature formation the Prvačice Gate (the biggest natural arch in Europe). Other wonderful places are in the Saxon part of the Elbe Sandstones e.g. fortress Koenigstein, Grosser Zschirnstein – table mountain, the Bastei Bridge or the spa town – Bad Schandau (the entrance gate to the valley of the Kirnitzsch). We have to also recommend the visit of the House of Bohemian Switzerland in Krásná Lípa. The House of Bohemian Switzerland offers a wide of tourist services, interactive exhibits and attractions in Saxony all year round.
Sporty guests of the Rosalka guesthouse will be really satisfied. The whole area is attractive for biking lovers for its beauty and modesty of cycling trails. It is possible to book rafting in the Elbe Canyon, horse riding etc. For climbers we can recommend the Tyssa Walls, Rájec, Ostrov or the Děčínský Sněžník. For adrenalin lovers we can recommend the adrenalin park Jedlová – the rope center, climbing wall, giant swing. It is possible to borrow excellent terrain scooters. There are lots of trails for cross-country skiing as well as downhill skiing. Ski lifts run from 12 to 17 at the weekends. Through this area goes the Elbe cycle track and long distance tourist trail E3.
If you do not want to have sporty holidays, you can spend your vacation by relaxing. You can go for suitable walks, following the marked paths. In summer you can sunbath or have a rest on the public natural beach by the pond Stará Oleška. After the romantic boat trip you can sit for a while in local pub, arrange barbecue or another party in our guesthouse. This place is also calm place for fishermen and mushrooming lovers.
